Dr. Damore has worked and trained in a variety of settings including: school health centers, private practice, counseling centers, and family medicine residency programs. She has experience working with various psychological, behavioral, and medical concerns with patients of all ages, including children, adolescents, adults, and families. Additionally, she has specialized in promoting wellness while working with young professionals and health-care providers to buffer the effects of burnout & promote resiliency. Dr. Damore’s interests include working with stress related disorders, career transitions, anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, ADD, grief & loss, relationship issues, family dynamics, chronic medical illnesses, and issues related to professional burnout & wellness.
From the outset of therapy, Dr. Damore aims to foster a warm, trusting, and compassionate environment in order to help patients feel comfortable with the process. Although her background originates from a psychodynamic approach, her practice style is collaborative in nature and adaptive to each patient's unique needs. Dr. Damore provides treatment utilizing a range of evidence-based strategies, ‘best-practices”, and years of clinical experience. She believes in a strengths-based approach, while also striking a balance between supporting and challenging each person in order to promote resiliency, growth, and real change through insight and action.
