Symbolism and visualization with healing in mind
Archetypal therapy, first introduced by analytical psychologist James Hillman in the 1970s, involves the use of imagery, symbolism, patterns, and visualization to help clients identify deeper meanings connected to their mental health difficulties.
Clients are encouraged to understand their own personal archetypes and accept themselves as they are. Clients are encouraged to gain self-awareness and organically bring further understanding and healing to their mental state.
